The Sydney Multicentre Study of Parkinson's disease: a report on the first 3 years.

摘要: One hundred and twenty nine de novo patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease are being followed over a 5 year period in double-blind multicentre study comparing low-dose bromocriptine (less than 30 mg/day) levodopa-carbidopa 600/150 mg/day). Sixty six have been randomised to 63 levodopa-carbidopa. Improvement has greater the group group. Involuntary movements so far only occurred on levodopa-carbidopa, incidence much lower is usually described conventional doses. Mild, end-of-dose failure both treatment groups; however, no patient developed "on-off" phenomenon. Low-dose appears be more effective anti-Parkinsonian but prone cause dyskinesia.
