摘要: Fundamental reproductive events such as sperm storage and capacitation, fertilization, early embryo development occur in the oviduct (tuba uterina), processes which glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) their binding proteins are involved. An intriguing feature of is suppression rejection parentally derived foreign by female, which, some other organs relates to presence a Fas-Fas ligand (Fas-FasL) system. The aim this thesis was study intra-luminal milieu bovine oviduct, (i) its contents GAGs epithelium oviductal fluid, (ODF), involving non-sulphated hyaluronan (HA), proteins, including HA receptor CD44, sulphated (S-GAGs), also form proteoglycans, during well-defined stages oestrous cycle specific anatomical regions; (ii) capacitation status bull spermatozoa submitted incubation with ODF, GAGs, bicarbonate and, (iii) Fas FasL tube. results revealed that CD44 were abundant reservoir (SR) independently stage or pregnant status. ODF contained S-GAGs all cycle. concentration ampulla significantly higher than isthmus. There ipsilateral ovulation. Both elicited vitro. response weaker bicarbonate. Hyaluronan dermatan sulphate only enhanced capacitation. detected tubal epithelium, ODF. localization SR suggests involvement preservation pre-ovulatory storage. Although may contribute there be more factors modulating process, lay basis for immune privileged organ mediate survival embryos.
