摘要: Angiogenesis, the growth of blood capillaries, is regulated by soluble factors and insoluble extracellular matrix (ECM) molecules. Soluble angiogenic mitogens act over large distances to initiate capillary whereas changes in ECM govern whether individual cells will grow, differentiate, or involute response these stimuli local tissue microenvironment. Analysis this control mechanism has revealed that molecules switch endothelial between differentiation both binding specific transmembrane integrin receptors physically resisting cell-generated mechanical loads are applied receptors. Control cell form function therefore may be exerted altering properties as well its chemical composition. Understanding mechanochemical led development new angiogenesis inhibitors useful for treatment cancer.
