摘要: The Rubiaceae is among the most diversified and largest of families in African rain forest consequently presents a suitable sample to test theory glacial refuges. Most are ecologically selective present sufficiently low long distance dispersal potential qualify. Generic diversity centres, patterns endemism disjunctions lowland generally corroborate theory. It also found that refuges characterized by generic endemism, fact perhaps indicating ice ages had catastrophic influence on flora tropical Africa. data assembled (i) point towards modifications delimitation accepted refuge areas, (ii) indicate existence few more e.g. Zaire Basin Indian Ocean coastal belt.
