摘要: Purpose To describe the three-year incidence and cumulative prevalence of retinopathy its risk factors. Design Population-based, prospective cohort study in four US communities. Methods In Atherosclerosis Risk Communities (ARIC) Study, 981 participants had retinal photography one randomly selected eye at third examination (1993 to 1995) three years later fourth (1996). Incidence was defined as without who developed examination, include incident well examinations. Results The any whole 3.8% 7.7%, respectively. multivariable analysis, related higher mean arterial blood pressure (odds ratio [OR] 1.5, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.0 2.3, per standard deviation increase factor levels), fasting serum glucose (OR 1.6, CI 1.3 2.1), total cholesterol 1.4, 1.0, 2.0), plasma fibrinogen 1.1 1.9). Among persons diabetes, nondiabetic 2.9% 4.3%, Incident 0.9 2.3) 2.3). with diabetic 10.1% 27.2%, Conclusions Retinopathy occur frequently middle-aged people, even those diabetes.
