摘要: Summary Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) commonly appears in patients with Pierre Robin sequence (PR). Polysomnography (PS) is the gold standard for diagnosis of OSAS. Videonasopharyngoscopy (VNP) best diagnostic tool visualizing vocal tract and detecting structural abnormalities which can be associated Objective: The purpose this paper to study whether VNP useful identifying severe OSAS a population children PR. Materials methods: Fifty-two PR who were present sleep-disordered breathing studied. All parents completed questionnaire concerning children's sleeping habits complaints before consultation. Each child underwent general pediatric examination an evaluation craniofacial features upper airway permeability. In all children, PS was performed. Also, VNP. Results: confirmed by 31 patients. showed 87% sensitivity 100% specificity detection findings significant correlation apnea–hypopnea index, arousal snoring time, percentage time spent at saturation oxygen Conclusion: This shows that PR, obstruction as detected seems risk factor safe reliable
