摘要: An examination of the available amino acid sequences GTP-binding proteins has revealed that each contains a polypeptide essentially homologous for all them. These elongation factor-Tu (EF-Tu) and human bladder protein p21 exhibit singular degree homology (50%). Chemical structural evidence indicates this sequence in EF-Tu constitutes part nucleotide-binding site. The may therefore contribute to sites other proteins.
