摘要: The search for regulators of angiogenesis has led to the identification a number genes that, when tested in vitro or vivo (in animal models), help elucidate complex phenomenon vascular formation during development and pathologic conditions. Many new growth factors receptors other molecules previously thought be specific systems (e.g., nervous system) have now been found play role are currently under analysis. One such example is neuropilin-1, which expressed predominantly developing neurons (for review see Fujisawa Kitsukawa, 1998). Neuropilin-1 null mutants die embryonic due disorganization nerve pathways (Kitsukawa et al, 1997) as well several defects (Kawasaki 1999).
