摘要: In this paper we describe a new approach to contour extraction and tracking, which is based on the principles of active models overcomes its shortcomings. We formally introduce rays, as an energy minimization problem discuss what contours rays have in common. The main difference that for unique ordering elements 2D image plane given, cannot be found contours. This advantageous predicting elements' position prevents crossings contour. Further, another advantage instead reduced 1D search problem. The also shows any-time behavior, important with respect real-time applications. Finally, method allows management multiple hypotheses object's boundary. aspect if concave are tracked. Results real sequences (tracking toy train laboratory scene, tracking pedestrians outdoor scene) show suitability object closed loop between acquisition camera movement. can done within frame rate (25 fps) standard Unix workstations (HP 735) without any specialized hardware.
