摘要: K-ras transformed fibroblasts have been shown to a stronger dependence from glycolysis, reduced oxidative phosphorylation ability and fragility towards glucose depletion compared their immortalized, normal counterparts. In this paper, using RNA profiling assays metabolic perturbations, we report changes in expression of genes encoding mitochondrial proteins alterations morphology that correlate with functionality. fact, unlike cells, cells show ATP content inability modify mitochondria upon depletion. Being reverted by GEF-DN expression, such morphological functional are directly connected Ras activation. Taken together reported partial uncoupling more sustained apoptosis our results indicate activation the pathway strikingly impacts on energy signaling-related aspects functionality, turn may affect terminal phenotype cells.
