摘要: Abstract Soil particle size distribution has been previously shown to behave as a multifractal. In this study, we analyzed the relation between soil forming factors and several multifractal parameters derived from generalized dimension singularity spectra calculated of soils Galicia (NW Spain). A number 187 samples were collected upper horizon (0–30 cm depth) located in different parts region, covering wide range parent materials, climatic conditions land use. Particle distributions fine earth fractions ( max , D min –D 0 1 2 /D Renyi spectra, α f ), ) –α max– extracted. The spatial indices their with predicted using PLS approach climate, geology, use topography covariates. accuracy estimates was evaluated by cross-validation upon same set samples. performance model relatively good case (R = 0.50, RMSE = 0.02). As result, heterogeneity sizes topsoils can be partly explained combination factors, geology. Parent material some indexes most influential variables explaining scaling properties distributions.
