摘要: It has been suggested that an important factor influencing human mate selection is a social norm the male should be taller than female. With aim of providing empirical evidence concerning possibility such male-taller norm, height data were collected from bank account application forms 720 couples. According to probability theory, chance expectation for occurrence couples with females was 2/100. The actual value found only 1/720, which seen as supporting notion norm.
