摘要: This study aimed to review the evidence for use of long-term oxygen therapy patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The design was a systematic Cochrane randomized controlled trials (RCTs) COPD and main outcome measure survival on home therapy. Five RCTs were identified. Data from two nocturnal in mild moderate hypoxaemia aggregated. other three could not be aggregated because differences trial patient selection. Treatment continuous versus produced significant improvement mortality after 24 months [Peto odds ratio 0.45, 95% confidence interval (95% CI) 0.25-0.81] group. no showed five years group receiving (Peto 0.42, CI 0.18-0.98). There difference daytime desaturation or sham treatment. Long-term had effect survival. In conclusion, improved selected severe but few co-morbidities. did improve those arterial at night.
