摘要: OBJECTIVE: In Japan, reducing the consumption of miso soup and Japanese pickles, both traditional dishes, is recommended in order to decrease dietary salt intake. With Westernization habits, however, these dishes are now consumed less frequently, thus a reduction their effect on sodium intake suspected. This study examined cross-sectional associations between frequency pickles estimated 24-hour urine excretion using data obtained from health examination surveys conducted 2013 Sado City, Japan. METHODS: The level daily was based spot creatinine measurements. determined self-reported questionnaire. Multiple linear regression models were used assess associations. RESULTS: Among total 8,821 participants (3,956 men; age range, 19-97 years), mean 9.4 g/day. increased with associated (p for trend <0.0001). A model analysis adjusted age, sex, body mass index, hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia chronic kidney disease revealed that (p<0.0001) all groups, except those ≥ 80 years age. CONCLUSION: These findings suggest may be an effective approach decreasing general population, although not octogenarians or nonagenarians.
