摘要: The Barreiras Group is a Miocene to Lower Pleistocene continental terrigenous sedimentary deposit exhibiting large occurrence along the Brazilian coast. In Conde region, located in northeastern part of State Bahia, sedimentological characteristics these sediments are indicative deposition as gravelly and sandy bed load braided fluvial systems, related alluvial fans, under an arid semi-arid climate. basal portion group dominated by gravelly-sandy lithofacies deposited debris flows pseudoplastic flows, with lesser occurrences subaqueous deposits, characterizing proximal system deposition. upper made up that include subaqueous, deposits. They suggest more distal zone indicated larger deposits presence, though rare, downstream-accretion macroforms. Besides climate control, was strongly influenced intraplate tectonism, which has been affecting South America Platform since Middle Miocene, when neotectonism began Brazil.
