摘要: Between 1965 and 1984, 20 patients with chemodectomas of the temporal bone were seen at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas Cancer Therapy Research Center San Antonio, Texas, Ten treated radiation therapy alone, seven surgery post-operative radiation, one pre-operative two following surgical recurrence. Most had advanced tumors presentation. Radiation doses ranged from 22.5 Gy to 50.0 Gy. most frequent dose was 45.0 Gy, given 225 cGy fractions, 9.0 per week. common portal arrangement oblique fields paired wedges. There no local failures or significant induced complications among benign chemodectomas. follow-up period 3 23 years (mean 11 years). Only patient developed systemic metastases progression primary chemodectoma. These results a review literature demonstrate that alone is safe effective treatment modality for bone.
