摘要: OBJECTIVE To determine whether xanthine oxidase and dehydrogenase activities are altered during low flow ischemia reperfusion of the small intestine horses. ANIMALS 5 clinically normal horses without histories abdominal problems. PROCEDURE With horse under general anesthesia, a laparotomy was performed blood to segment distal jejunum reduced 20% baseline for 120 minutes then reperfused minutes. Biopsy specimens were obtained before, during, after determination activities, histologic morphometric analyses. RESULTS Percentage activity (as percentage activity) not reperfusion. An inflammatory response developed progressed Mucosal lesions increased in severity surface area volume decreased continued decrease Submucosal slightly ischemia, increase CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE Evidence conversion found. Factors other than production reactive oxygen metabolites may be responsible progressive epithelial loss, mucosal volume, submucosal observed this study. Other methods determining that detect enzyme sloughed cells should used better define importance pathway jejunal injury
