Central corneal thickness in full-term newborns

摘要: The central corneal thickness (CCT) was measured in 30 full-term newborns the first week post partum using ultrasonic pachometry. mean CCT right eyes 0.581 +/- 0.047 mm. In 19 babies twice. second reading 0.584 0.042 This difference not statistically significant. There no correlation between gestational age, birth weight and length, CCT. small girls boys values left were similar to data for eyes. These results confirm only previous study on newborns, that is, is significantly larger than adults.
