The effectiveness of short-term training on 2 communication tasks was assessed with 7?2-year-olds. 12 Ss were trained trios for 6 sessions requiring complete description a design listener to reproduce, critical information discriminate the same from set. Roles speaker, listener, observer alternated, followed by peer discussion. Compared control Ss, at posttesting had significantly greater useful overall evaluation messages, showed moderate transfer skills.
