摘要: PURPOSE: To evaluate the diagnostic usefulness of positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) in patients primary colorectal carcinomas. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Forty-eight biopsy-proved (n = 44) or high clinical suspicion for 4) cancer underwent whole-body PET after intravenous administration 10 mCi (370 MBq) FDG. FDG results were correlated computed tomographic (CT), surgical, and histopathologic findings. RESULTS: depicted all known intraluminal carcinomas 37 (including two situ carcinomas) (sensitivity, 100%), but findings false-positive four seven without (three inflammatory bowel conditions, one who had undergone polypectomy).
