摘要: Faster scintillators like LaBr3 and LSO have sparked renewed interest in PET scanners with time-of-flight (TOF) information. The TOF information adds another dimension to the data set compared conventional three-dimensional (3D) size of projection being multiplied by number bins. Here we show simulations analytical reconstruction that angular sampling for two-dimensional (2D) can be reduced significantly what is required 2D PET. Fully 3D data, however, a wide range oblique transverse angles. To make use smaller necessary reduce histoprojections.
