摘要: Twin-roll cast magnesium has a fine-grained microstructure and exhibits relatively high strength ductility. However, hydrogen-induced embrittlement in alloys can limit the mechanical properties substantially lead to sudden unpredictable failure. In this study, is determined by means of slow strain rate tests (SSRT) instrumental indentation (IIT). The latter enables analysis under suppression crack propagation mechanisms surface influences (e.g. notch effects due pitting) new technique for investigation hydrogen (HE). influence immersion time elastic deformation on HE twin-roll heat-treated sheets (AZ31) was analysed. Distilled water two NaCl solutions (0.05 0.5 wt%) served as analysing media. It shown that both influencing factors significantly affect degree HE. Relatively short distilled led substantial decrease an increase brittleness, even without external loading. contrast, not affected resulting comparison water, sodium chloride solution total loss plasticity during SSRT distinct IIT. Analysis X-ray diffractometry did determine detectable amount hydrides embrittled AZ31 structure.
