摘要: Autogenous replantation of meniscal cartilage (resection 80% the meniscus followed by immediate replantation) was performed in 14 dogs as a control arm replacement study. The purpose to assess ability excised tissue heal intact rim and function cartilage. This procedure is an idealized model allografting that fresh, autogenous, perfectly sized. If this did not succeed, it seemed likely authors would have diminished chances for success. Evaluation these replant failures led us speculate causes mechanisms might include slow or incomplete revascularization, inadequate mechanical fixation stabilization, and, perhaps, some type rejection phenomenon examined confirmed present We believe will be particularly deleterious allografted cartilages recommend further extensive evaluation allografts before wide clinical use.
