摘要: Factors determining the variation in antibody response post foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV) vaccine were investigated 395 sera samples of crossbred cattle maintained at institute farm located temperate Himalayan region India. Pre tested using liquid phase blocking enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (LPBE) specific for serotypes O, A, Asia1. All pre-vaccination unprotected increase titer was seen 28-day post-vaccination. negative infection status. Among environmental determinants, cohort, season, vaccination number proved to be significant sources (P 1 year) found significantly more protected than younger animals (P < 0.05). Cows first trimester lactation showed reduced protection by that might attributed weakening immune system consequent stress production calving as well increased metabolic demands typical a postpartum cow. The estimates heritability (±SE) FMDV Asia1 0.17 ± 0.07, 0.03 ± 0.06, 0.05 ± 0.06, respectively, indicating little scope improvement after mass selection.
