摘要: The effects of the suppression UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase (UGPase) on chrysolaminaran biosynthesis and carbon allocation were investigated in Phaeodactylum tricornutum. 69% decrease UGPase activity was accompanied by a 4.89 fold reduction Ugp transcript abundance. Inactivation P. tricornutum led to significant content an increase lipid synthesis. These findings suggest that is rate-limiting enzyme may play important role chrysolaminarin allocation. Our results support theoretical deduction good candidate for improving synthesis diatoms.
