摘要: A conidium-producing variant of Streptomyces griseus, strain 45-H, produces a substance, factor C, which is capable inducing conidium formation in the hyphae conidium-non-producing mutant, 52-1. Factor C can be determined quantitatively on basis this biological effect. The biologically active substance purified by ion-exchange chromatography cellulose phosphate combined with affinity DNA-agarose. concentrated at least 1700 times. molecular weight estimated polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis presence sodium dodecyl sulphate, about 34500. On determining amino acid composition 60% acids were found to hydrophobic.
