摘要: The gene encoding factor C (facC), an extracellular signal protein involved in cellular differentiation, was cloned from Streptomyces griseus 45H, and the complete nucleotide sequence determined. deduced amino acid confirmed by HPLC/electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry analysis. full-length consists of 324 acids has a predicted molecular mass 34523 Da. mature 286 (31038 Da) is probably produced cleaving off 38 secretion sequence. Southern hybridization detected facC several other strains, but database searches failed to identify with significant homology C. Expression low-copy-number vector S. 52-1 resulted phenotypic effect similar that given exogenously added protein.
