摘要: Streptomyces griseus strain 45H, isolated in 1960 during a mutagenesis programme on the industrial streptomycin producer S. 52-1, encodes an extracellular, pleiotropic autoregulatory signalling protein, factor C, which stimulates sporulation of 52-1 submerged culture. The facC gene, codes for is present very few streptomycetes and not 52-1. Based 16S rRNA gene sequencing other molecular data, C producer, here shown to be related original laboratory flavofungini, was being studied same 1960, albidoflavus. Southern blotting revealed that three out four independently strains albidoflavus possess facC. Both flavofungini 45H are therefore identified as members species albidoflavus, we propose should renamed 45H.
