摘要: BMI-matched men and women. Peripheral plasma glucose disposal (Gd) was computed using non-steady state kinetics in a single compartment model, simultaneously with determination of whole-body net oxidation by indirect calorimetry. Insulin sensitivity derived cumulative Gd as the dependent variable, time integrated insulin concentration independent variables. The female group had higher fractional rate appearance from starch (Pa0·019) immediately after ingestion. Females also significantly insulin-dependent (6·8 v. 5·6mg glucose/(min.kg) per pmol insulin, P, 0·05) compared males. A smaller absolute pool endogenous females allowed exogenous 13 CO2 production to be (Pa0·007) corresponding (P, carbohydrate obtained present study suggests that during ingestion starchy meal, exhibit flux greater than Starchy foods: Stable isotope: Gender:
