摘要: The large body of literature on the gastrointestinal side effects NSAIDs has shown consistently that populations can be identified have a markedly elevated risk for these iatrogenic conditions. These groups include elderly, persons with prior history peptic ulcer disease and its complications, receiving anticoagulant corticosteroid therapy, who require long-term NSAID especially at high dose. It is possible several comorbidities (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis) predispose patients to complications caused by NSAIDs, but few studies adjusted carefully possibility concomitant medication use oral anticoagulants, corticosteroids) or increased dose may account best apparent association as factor serious events. role H. pylori infection in affecting complicated among users remains fully elucidated. Low-dose aspirin cardioprotective associated an PUBs; when used concomitantly this increases PUBs above itself. Apart from physical toll NSAID-related gastrotoxicity places patient, there are considerable economic consequences patients, providers, society. This cost presents subject research those interested not only improving quality patient care, also prudent health care resources.
