摘要: A systematic ultrastructural study of cells the MPS across spectrum leprosy has been carried out. Graded changes in macrophage ultrastructure from lepromatous to tuberculoid poles have shown. Mycobacteria-filled macrophages are characterised by long cell processes, whereas borderline these a rounded appearance and mainly numerous intracellular vacuoles. In leprosy, an intermediate appearance. Cells containing abundant endoplasmic reticulum were only seen typical "epithelioid cell" granulomas "BT reaction" Mitsuda reaction. Epithelioid other forms BT contained activated macrophages.
