摘要: Abstract Reported estimates of ras mutation prevalence in lung adenocarcinoma 15–24% may be underestimates because the insensitivity assays used. We have devised a rapid, non-radioactive assay for mutations, which detects 1 mutant allele/103 normal alleles and used it to study DNA isolated from 53 tumor samples (including 28 adenocarcinomas) previously analyzed by PCR/allele specific oligonucleotide hybridization, is less sensitive. detected mutations 13 samples, including 7 not hybridization. also found 14 25 unstudied (56%). Our results indicate that K-ras codon 12 higher than reported; thus, more clinically useful as molecular markers cancer has been appreciated.
