Self-management of over-the-counter medications by older adults.

摘要: Older adults' use of over-the-counter (OTC) medications is usually a self-initiated behavior that may have important health consequences. A sample 186 adults age 65 years and over was interviewed to describe their 16 OTC substances management the most commonly used medications. Subjects reported using almost twice as many prescription structured interview format elicited subjects' self-reports decisions, judgments, actions manage aspirins, laxatives, antacids, vitamins.
