摘要: PURPOSE To evaluate in vitro root caries formation human permanent teeth and to determine the effects of commercially available dentifrices containing different amounts fluoride, while employing a well-tested artificial system using an acidified gel. METHODS Root surfaces from caries-free (n = 10) underwent debridement fluoride-free prophylaxis. The tooth roots were sectioned into six portions, acid-resistant varnish was placed with two sound surface windows exposed on each portion. Each portion single assigned treatment group: (1) No control; (2) Denticious 5000 dentifrice (5,000 ppm F + xylitol); (3) PreviDent F); (4) AIM (1,500 (5) Listerine (1,300 (6) Crest Regular Paste F). Tooth portions treated fresh twice daily for 180 seconds, followed by synthetic saliva rinsing over 7-day period. Controls In created gel (pH 4.25, 21 days). Longitudinal sections (three sections/tooth portion, 30 sections/group; 60 lesions/group) evaluated mean lesion depths (water imbibition, polarized light). Statistical analyses performed ANOVA Duncan's Multiple Range test. RESULTS Mean 389 +/- 43 microm - control, 223 33 dentifrice, 242 42 Prevident 5000, 337 29 297 37 282 34 dentifrice. All groups had significantly less than control group (P < 0.05). reduced depth compared other
