摘要: Resulting from its subjective nature, cytopathic effect (CPE) due to virus infection in cell culture has long been difficult quantify. This report illustrates the use of electric cell-substrate impedance sensing (ECIS) for monitoring progression CPE influenza A infection. ECIS monitors a non-invasive ac current flowing through medium by gold film electrodes placed on surface dish. As cultured cells attach and spread onto electrodes, is impeded proportional number attached cells, tight junctions between shortness distance substratum. In case at hand, healthy monolayer was insulted with exhibited characteristic rounded morphology detachment. These effects resulted reduced impedance, which monitored ECIS. Since data obtained are both quantitative real-time, it possible monitor continuously behavior during This, turn, allowed more detailed comprehensive set analyze. More importantly, ammonium chloride treatment also shown that may be exploited examine treatment's reduction resistance because antiviral activity. Thus, powerful approach screening compounds quantitatively real-time fashion.
