摘要: Abstract Background Tumoral calcinosis has been defined as a pathological condition which presents calcified masses around juxta-articular structures. The etiology of this pathology is still not well understood but degenerative spine diseases seem to play role. diagnosis tumoral preoperatively can prevent intraoperative confusion from unexpected findings, especially in cases where removal the mass essential treating patient’s symptoms, i.e. nerve compression causing radiculopathy. Case description We present two patients who presented with spinal radiculopathy and mechanical pain. Both were found have facet joint underwent surgical resection combined fusion resulting excellent symptom relief post-surgery. Conclusion For accurate management calcinosis, high index suspicion together neuro imaging remains good place start. Intra-operative visualization permanent reports adjunct confirming diagnosis.
