摘要: The MUC I gene encodes the core protein of episialin, which is recognized by several antibodies. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) detection 1 transcripts has been proposed for micrometastases from breast cancers. expression in hematopoietic tissues reported but not confirmed. Our preliminary RT-PCR studies confirmed MDA-231 cancer cells. Western blots proteins stained with anti-MUC gave one 68-kd (core protein) band, an additional high molecular weight (HMW) band anti-epithelial membrane antigen (EMA). was detectable 4 samples each peripheral blood, bone marrow, and lymph node. blot analysis using anti-EMA 2 blood all marrow samples. node positively HMW product, product less prominent. Separated lymphocytes granulocytes showed similar levels expression. demonstrated various cell lines. products a granulopoietic line, only 3 lymphoblastoid expressed ubiquitously unsuitable use as marker epithelial micrometastases.
