摘要: This study evaluated the effectiveness of essential oil Pimenta pseudocaryophyllus in inhibiting growth main bacteria responsible for bad perspiration odor (Staphylococcus epidermidis, Proteus hauseri, Micrococcus yunnanensis and Corynebacterium xerosis). The chemical profile was by high-resolution gas chromatography (HR-GC) four constituents were identified, eugenol being major component (88.6%). antimicrobial activity means turbidimetric method, using microdilution assay. minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values ranged from 500 to 1,000 μg mL⁻¹. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) observations confirmed physical damage morphological alteration test treated with oil, reference drugs eugenol. findings demonstrated that this can be used formulation personal care products.
