摘要: Chronic noncancer pain (CNCP) in military and veteran populations mirrors the experience of chronic America; however, these two have unique characteristics comorbid conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, postconcussive syndrome, posttraumatic stress disorder, behavioral health disorders that complicate diagnosis treatment pain. Military members veterans may also be stigmatized about their problems with integration back into healthy lifestyles society a whole following deployments after service. The care systems made priority substantial strides addressing this condition through advances practice, education, research, policy. Despite progress, significant challenges remain responding to wide-spread problem purpose article is to: (a) examine state CNCP populations; (b) discuss progress policy; (c) evidence-based practice guidelines, expert consensus reports are foundational advancing improving for service CNCP. In addition, recommendations proposed address widespread expanded use advanced registered nurses, implementation models care, national resources educate providers, support promote effective care.
