摘要: Summary What is known and objective: Total knee hip joint replacement has a high risk of postoperative nausea vomiting (PONV), steroid cover used for cases associated with autoimmune diseases. Our aim to evaluate the antiemetic efficacy methylprednisolone as in patients undergoing surgery. Methods: A prospective cohort study design was used. Sixty-eight patients, aged between 20 80 years, were scheduled standardized general anaesthetic technique. Patients who given assigned group, those not formed non-steroid group. PONV assessment by direct questioning or spontaneous complaints 1 week after surgery. Postoperative pain evaluated using Visual Analog Scale (VAS) 1 3 days surgery. Results discussion: The incidence group significantly less than that (adjusted odds ratio, 0·17, P = 0·021), but there no significant difference two groups. VAS score different groups. What new conclusion: In total arthroplasty, effective preventing nausea; however, higher doses may be needed prevent vomiting.
