摘要: Abstract Using hydrofoils between two hulls of catamarans, hydrofoil supported catamaran (HYSUCAT), is one the best way to improve hydrodynamic characteristics this vessels. In present study, performance three different NACA 16, EPPLER 874 and Gottingen 11k are evaluated initially experimentally via model tests. Afterward, these predicted by using appropriate artificial neural networks (ANNs). For purpose, total resistance, effective power, sinkage trim HYSUCAT under Froude number (Fr) type. According results achieved from tests, a significant decrease in resistance observed considered catamaran, where shows more effects on compared other hydrofoils. addition, maximum mean square errors (MSE) ANNs output prediction 0.000683, 0.000155, 0.000454 0.00688, respectively. Moreover, an equation proposed predict weights bias.
