摘要: We report on the characterization of novel rat brain protein dendrin which is encoded by brain-specific transcript 464. On immunoblots, two variants (81 kD, 89 kD) were identified in cytosolic and membraneous fractions. The are most abundant hippocampus, notably apical dendrites CA1 pyramidal cells. Dendritic perikaryal immunolabelling apparent neurons cerebral cortex, dentate gyrus, subiculum, amygdala, preoptic areas. In cortical hippocampal dendrites, electron-dense immunoreaction associated with endoplasmic reticulum, plasma membrane, spine heads. An association polyribosomes presence its mRNA both provide evidence for dendritic translation. forebrain, expression altered after an extended period wakefulness. Twenty-four-hour sleep deprivation decreases concentrations subcortical forebrain plus midbrain areas 24 +/- 11% (P < 0.05) 40 14% 0.1), respectively, as measured relative to beta-actin neural actin. cortex level remains unchanged whereas concentration reduced 42 10% 0.05). Thus, belongs a new class proteins whose differentially modulated prolonged behavioral activity.
