摘要: Only two spirochetal infections are known to cause nervous system infection and damage: neurosyphilis neuroborreliosis (nervous Lyme disease). Diagnosis of both generally relies on indirect tools, primarily assessment the host immune response organism. Reliance these measures poses some challenges, particularly as they imperfect treatment response. Despite this, be readily curable with straightforward antimicrobial regimens. The challenge is that, untreated, can progressive damage. Although this microbiologically cured, threat permanent resultant neurologic damage, often severe in usually less so neuroborreliosis, leads considerable concern emphasizes need for prevention or early accurate diagnosis treatment.
