摘要: Purpose to compare cut off points corrected for age and gender (COOP) with fixed (FCOP) fasting plasma insulin Homeostatic model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) the diagnosis of IR in obese children adolescents their correlation dyslipidemia. Methods A multicenter, cross-sectional study including 383 subjects aged 7 18 years, evaluating blood glucose, insulin, lipid profile. Subjects high levels and/or HOMA-IR were considered as having IR, based on two defining criteria: FCOP or CCOP. The frequency metabolic abnormalities, presence dyslipidemia relation CCOP analyzed using Fisher Mann-Whitney exact tests. Results Using HOMA-IR, was diagnosed 155 (40.5%) 215 (56.1%) patients and, 150 (39.2%) 221 (57.7%), respectively applying use resulted lower values than FCOP. Dyslipidemia not related Blood glucose remained within normal limits all IR. There no difference identified by both Conclusion detected more cases compared FCOP, but associated As has almost fluctuation this group, even same that would be HOMA-IR.
