Team dynamics within quality improvement teams: a scoping review.

摘要: Purpose This scoping review examines what is known about the processes of quality improvement (QI) teams, particularly related to how teams impact outcomes. The aim provide research-informed guidance for QI leaders and inform future research questions. Data sources Databases searched included: MedLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web Science SCOPUS. Study selection Eligible publications were written in English, published between 1999 2016. Articles included if they examined team, healthcare primary studies. Studies excluded had insufficient detail regarding team processes. extraction Descriptive extracted authors, geographical region health sector. Integrated (Health Care) Team Effectiveness Model was used synthesize findings studies along domains effectiveness: task design, process, psychosocial traits organizational context. Results data synthesis Over two stages searching, 4813 citations reviewed. Of those, 48 full-text articles are synthesis. demonstrates that not immune from dysfunction. Further, a dysfunctional likely influence practice. However, functional alone unlikely create change. A positive dynamic may be necessary but condition implementing strategies. Conclusions Areas further include: interactions clinical microsystems, understanding role interprofessional representation on exploring task, composition process.
