摘要: The expression characteristics of the human interferon-beta gene, as part a long stretch genomic DNA, led to discovery putative domain bordering elements. chromatin structure these elements and their surroundings was determined during process gene activation correlated with postulated functions. It is shown that "scaffold-attached regions" (S/MAR elements) have some in common others distinct from enhancers which they cooperate various ways. Our model S/MAR function will focus on properties mediating topological changes within respective domain.
