摘要: OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to evaluate the novel CardioMind Sparrow (CMS) stent (CardioMind, Inc., Sunnyvale, California) against Multi-Link Pixel (MLP) (Guidant Corp., Santa Clara, for small vessel percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). BACKGROUND: CMS consists a guidewire-based, self-expandable, ultra-thin nitinol with smaller profile and improved flexibility deliverability. performance device standard balloon-expandable PCI has not been determined. METHODS: Twenty-one patients were treated compared 30 MLP. Only single de novo lesions <14 mm in length, native vessels 2.0 2.5 included. primary goal comparison quantitative angiography lumen loss intravascular ultrasound intimal hyperplasia (IH) formation between groups at 6 months. RESULTS: Clinical characteristics similar groups. cohort had (2.20 +/- 0.20 vs. 2.43 0.16 mm, p < 0.0001) shorter (10.86 3.19 13.12 2.79 = 0.0091). Six-month late significantly lower among (0.73 0.57 1.11 0.72 0.038). By ultrasound, 6-month IH volume (1.45 0.46 mm(3)/mm 1.65 1.02 mm(3)/mm, 0.50). However, presented mean 13.39% expansion its volumes, resulting percentage volumetric obstruction (31.94 8.19% 39.90 4.72%, 0.0005). CONCLUSIONS: Despite producing amounts volume, self-expanding chronic better accommodating neoformed tissue percent MLP stent.
