Drivers of Illegal and Destructive Forest Use

摘要: This chapter reflects upon the drivers of illegal logging and associated timber trade. Much this discussion is related to a broader debate about forest degradation deforestation (FAO, 2016a; Kissinger et al., 2012; Geist Lambin, 2001). In primarily interpreted as harvesting for export by companies that take advantage flaws in regulations law enforcement (Kissinger 2012). framing has been partly driven lobbies importing countries bring issue within legality debate, so extol those policy measures aimed at improving means tackle deforestation.
