摘要: The Late Triassic-Early Jurassic volcanic succession of the Berrechid and Doukkala basins (Western Meseta, Morocco) comprises two lava flow fields. At base, Sidi Mohamed Larbi-Sidi Said Mâachou Formation is composed 1 to 5 flows, while upper Ain Bouhachad presents or 2 flows. Lavas are mainly compound pahoehoe flows showing evidence endogenous growth by inflation, suggesting slow emplacement during sustained eruptive episodes. Textures vary vertically in each lobe (fine medium-grained intergranular, subophitic ophitic core, aphanitic glomeroporphyritic crust). mineralogy typical continental tholeiites: plagioclase, clinopyroxene (augite pigeonite), minor amounts olivine ferro-titanium oxides. major trace element concentrations and/or ratios formations match, respectively, compositions described elsewhere for Lower Intermediate Central Atlantic Magmatic Province (CAMP) from High Atlas Argana basin.
