摘要: The low success rate of somatic nuclear transfer (NT) is hypothesized to be mainly due functional defects in the trophoblast cell lineage rather than inner mass (ICM); this hypothesis, however, remains tested directly. Here we separated ICMs from cloned blastocysts and aggregated ICM with two fertilization-derived (FD) tetraploid (4N) embryos. We found that full-term development was dramatically improved after cells were replaced by embryos, thus providing direct evidence underlie NT.
